In short
- We collect only what we need to talk to you and to run Fibrelane for your ISP.
- We never sell personal data and we don’t show ads.
- Your ISP’s subscriber data belongs to your ISP. We process it only to provide the service.
- Our website uses no tracking cookies. Write to privacy@fibrelane.com to see, correct or delete your data.
1. Who we are
Fibrelane is run by [Legal entity name], [registered address] (“Fibrelane”, “we”, “us”).
For data we collect for our own purposes, such as demo requests and staff accounts, we are the data fiduciary. You can reach us at privacy@fibrelane.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers fibrelane.com, the demo request form, the Fibrelane console at app.fibrelane.com and on each ISP’s own subdomain, and the emails and messages we send.
ISPs and cable operators use Fibrelane to manage their own subscribers. For that subscriber data, the ISP is the data fiduciary and decides how it is used. We process it on the ISP’s behalf, under our agreement with them. If you are a subscriber of an ISP that uses Fibrelane, please contact your ISP first about your data.
3. What we collect
| Where it comes from | What we collect | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Demo request form | Name, ISP or company name, city, approximate subscribers, mobile number, work email | To call you back, show you Fibrelane and set up your trial |
| Staff accounts in the console | Name, email, mobile number, role, area, sign in times and the actions you take | To run your account, keep it secure and keep an audit trail for your ISP |
| Subscriber records, on behalf of ISPs | Names, addresses, phone numbers, identity and address proofs, plans, invoices, payments, equipment and complaints | To provide the service the ISP has asked for |
| Online payments | Payment reference, amount, date and status from our payment partner | When online payments are available: to mark invoices paid. Card and bank details are handled by the payment partner, not stored by us. |
| Our website | Pages viewed, referring site, country, browser and device type, counted without cookies by Cloudflare Web Analytics | To understand which pages help people |
| Emails and calls with us | What you tell us | To answer you and improve Fibrelane |
4. How we use it
- To reply to demo requests and set up trials.
- To provide, secure and support the Fibrelane console.
- To send service messages such as invoices, receipts, sign in links and account notices.
- To send SMS and WhatsApp reminders to subscribers, when these features are available and the ISP turns them on.
- To meet legal duties, including tax and accounting records.
We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising or share it with data brokers. We ask for your consent where the law requires it, and you can withdraw it at any time by writing to privacy@fibrelane.com.
6. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored with Amazon Web Services in Mumbai (ap-south-1), India. The website and the console are served through Cloudflare. Where a service provider stores data outside India, we do so only as Indian law allows.
7. How long we keep it
- Demo requests: [12 months] if you don’t become a customer, then deleted.
- Accounts and ISP data: for as long as the ISP uses Fibrelane. When an ISP leaves, it can export its data as CSV for [30 days], after which we delete it.
- Invoices, credit notes and payment records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Security logs: at least one year, as the rules require.
8. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:
- Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with.
- Ask us to correct, complete, update or delete it.
- Withdraw consent you have given.
- Nominate someone to act for you if you are unable to.
- Raise a grievance with us.
Write to privacy@fibrelane.com from the email or number we have for you. We reply within [30] days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
9. How we protect it
- Each ISP’s data is kept separate. No other ISP can see it.
- Every staff member signs in with their own account and a fixed role, and sees only what their role allows.
- Changes to money are recorded as documents with their own history, and every action is logged.
- Connections to Fibrelane are encrypted.
- An ISP can sign any staff member out of every device at once.
If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
11. Children
Fibrelane is a tool for businesses and is not meant for children. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we email the account owner of each ISP before it takes effect.
